Gina Rodriguez on Golden Globes' America Ferrera mistake: 'Who cares?'

The Golden Globes official Twitter account made a rather big mistake Thursday morning during its nominations announcement, when it identified America Fererra as Gina RodriguezTwo tweets with pictures of Fererra -- who was announcing the nominations — tagged the handle of Rodriguez — who was getting nominated for her incredible work on Jane the Virgin. The tweets were deleted, but people noticed.

Rodriguez, for her part, is pretty chill about the whole thing. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the actress brushed off the mix-up:

"I didn't hear anything until recently someone sent me an article, but who cares? America's lovely. She's so beautiful and such a fantastic actress. If there's anybody I want to get mixed up with -- it's her for sure! To me, it's like, whatever. We always make mix-ups in life, man."

Fair point well made.

The HFPA, which puts on the Golden Globes, did apologize for the mistake in a statement to Entertainment Tonight, saying ""What occurred this morning was an unfortunate error. Our sincerest apologies to both America and Gina."
