Tim Gunn: The Kardashians are vulgar, Caitlyn has bad style
Tim Gunn loves throwing shade at America's first family of celebrity.
We already knew he wasn't down with Kendall Jenner, who he thinks is "tainted by the Kardashian aura of muck," and Kanye, whose fashion line is "basic."
And in an interview with the New York Daily News at a Land's End pop-up shop (lol), Gunn had words for all the other members of the family.
On the Kardashian's legacy of vulgarity:
I don’t care what you wear as long as you don’t dress like a Kardashian. It’s vulgar, period. But that’s what they are. I believe that their place in history will be because of this phenomenon that really is about nothing.
On Kanye's clothes, and the people who buy them:
"They’re dumb clothes and they’re expensive, dumb clothes. I’ve always said the only thing dumber than his clothes is the people who buy them.”
Kylie who?
Gunn called the youngest Jenner "Caitlyn" before being corrected by the interviewer. “I mean Kylie sorry. I get all the K’s confused,”
Caitlyn: "She's a dizzy broad"
He doesn't love her style, and claimed to be “horrified” when Caitlyn told the Glamour Women of the Year Awards that choosing what to wear was the hardest decision women make every day.
“I thought, really? I think if you asked most other women that it’s not going to be on the tip of their tongue...She’s like a dizzy broad. Actually I love that. She's a dizzy broad.
One could argue that it's just as vulgar to keep yourself in the headlines by bashing a couple with a newborn...but unlike Gunn, we'll hold our tongue.
