Simon Pegg, 'Star Trek Beyond' star, 'didn't love' the movie's trailer

Were you a little on the fence about that Star Trek Beyond trailer that debuted this week?

Well you weren't alone.

Simon Pegg, who just happens to be one of the actors in the actual movie, also wasn't super into the trailer, which some fans thought wasn't "Star Trek" enough or had too much of a Fast and Furious vibe (which would make sense given that its director Justin Lin has helmed quite a few Furious movies). But Pegg, one of the film's writers, would also like to reassure you that the movie itself is going to be great. He told HeyUGuys:

"I didn't love it. Because I know there's a lot more to the film. There's a lot more of what I would call 'Star Trek stuff.'

Thanks for the reassurance, man.

You can watch the trailer below and decide if there's enough "Star Trek stuff" in it for you.
