'The Rock' shut down 'Ballers' for his daughter's birth
When you're an action star like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, even childbirth becomes an exciting adventure story.
So before Christmas, when "The Rock" got the call from his expectant girlfriend Lauren Hashian that their unborn daughter was coming several weeks early, it was time to move. Didn't matter that he was on the set of his HBO hit Ballers. He had to fly.
His Rockness told us on the Golden Globes red carpet about the Dec. 16 birth of his daughter Jasmine.
"So 3 o’clock in the afternoon, I am on the set of 'Ballers.' I get a text from my girlfriend who says, 'We’re inducing at 6, baby comes tonight.' It’s three weeks early. I pulled my director aside and said ‘Buddy, we’re shutting it all down.’ So for two weeks we shut 'Ballers' down. But it’s great. We’re back shooting now. Everything’s good."

Not only is "The Rock" back to work, but he's also changing diapers at home. He swore he does it (and grown-up daughter Simone, his date for the evening didn't disagree). Johnson told us:
"I do everything. I change diapers. I do it all. Because I’m a man and a half. And I do everything."
Like most Johnson movies, this one had a happy ending.
