Actors recall their most memorable directing note
Paste BN asks actors on the 22nd SAG Awards red carpet to recall their favorite note they received from a director on set.
No one's beyond reproach - not even the stars. So what's the most common feedback given by their directors? At the SAG Awards, we got scoop on typical criticisms from the set of House of Cards, Game of Thrones, Veep, Mad Men and Orange is the New Black. (Bet you can't guess which show recommended its star "think ice instead of fire.")
But Transparent's Jeffrey Tambor had our favorite "note" from the It's Gary Shandling Show days – courtesy of his mother:
"When Gary Shandling asked her, 'Mrs. Tambor, you must be very, very proud of her son.' She said, 'I would be more proud if he had his own show.' That's my mother. Eileen, man, she told it like it was."
