Seth Meyers proves you should never bring Melisandre from 'GOT' to a baby shower
You ever have that one friend who you have to invite to parties but just doesn't fit in with everyone else and maybe harshes the vibe a little bit? Is that friend also a red priestess of the Lord of Light with the power to see into the future, bring people back from the dead and birth shadow babies?
Seth Meyers, Game of Thrones nerd with the power to make these things happen, has imagined what it would be like if Melisandre (Carice van Houten in real life but the Red Woman to us always) was a guest at a baby shower. It went, pretty much the way you would expect it to. Some choice quotes:
- "Clutch your child close to your chest, woman, for the night is dark and full of terrors."
- "There is no heaven. There is only hell. And it's the one we're living in now."
- Seth: "Maybe stop telling people the night is dark and full of terrors." Melisandre: "But the night is dark and full of terrors!"
- "At night your child will want to defend itself from whatever may harm it because the night is dark and full of terrors. And also it rattles. It's a rattle-sword."
