Viola Davis pumps brakes on 'HTGAWM' sex scenes: 'I blew my back out'

Emmy-winning actress Viola Davis is taking a break — from sex scenes, that is.

The How To Get Away With Murder actress appeared on SiriusXM’s Sway in the Morning Wednesday and shared she was injured while filming a hot and heavy scene with co-star Billy Brown, who plays Nate.

“I blew my back out,” Davis, who plays Annalise Keating, chuckled. “That was in the Billy Brown scene. He threw me up against a wall. I mean, look, all I can say is I was totally committed to the scene, but no, I just told them to slow it down for a minute.”

Just for a minute? 

“I'm going to get back into it — I have to!” she continued, before teasing details about Annalise’s busy love life. “It's Shondaland! They’re gonna have me doing all kinds of stuff with all kinds of people.”
