Watch an 8-year-old Alicia Vikander OWN this Swedish lip sync battle

Greatness doesn’t happen overnight.

If anyone knows that, it’s Alicia Vikander, 27. The breakout actress juggled four features last year, earning a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in Tom Hooper’s The Danish Girl.

But Sunday night wasn’t the first time that Vikander has savored victory, as revealed by The Local. In a 1997 video discovered by the Swedish outlet, an 8-year-old Vikander sweeps the competition on a televised Swedish talent show by lip-syncing an operatic opus in her mother tongue.

Here's a clip from the performance (which you can stream in its entirety here):

Just prior to the flawless delivery, the host asked Vikander what she wanted to be when she grew up, to which the precocious pre-teen replied, "I’m going to be an actress."

And hopefully, a Lip Sync Battle contestant.
