Meet the French brands that have Rihanna and Kanye clamoring for a hoodie

Paris Fashion Week is underway, with its usual schedule of power players: Dior, Givenchy, Chanel, Saint Laurent. But in between the old guard are a few newcomers that have all the cool kids buzzing over $600 sweatshirts.

Atlein

Antonin Tron has the kind of resume people dream about -- he's worked at Givenchy, Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga. And he's putting all that experience to good use with his own collection, Atlein, which he launched Tuesday. The best part? He's using a lot of jersey, which as all yoga pant enthusiasts know, is cheap and comfy. Bless him.

Vetements

The collective behind the new French brand just gets us. First, it was the signature logo hoodie that we started to see on the likes of Rihanna and Kanye West (paired with no pants on the part of Rihanna and with Yeezy boots on Kanye, obvi). Then we fell for the whole collection of elevated streetwear that, how can we put it, is just cool. And to top it all off, they called Leo's Oscar and Kate Winslet lovefest early, sending a screen-printed hoodie with an image from Titanic down the runway in September. It's been selling like crazy since Sunday but still available in a few places.

To say we're excited to see what comes down their runway on Thursday is an understatement.

Koché

Christelle Kocher is one of the few women in the group of newcomers. She knows her way around a pair of faded dad jeans and Chucks as well as couture feather details. But it's her slip dresses and sneakers that we could really see ourselves in this spring. And that hoodie / slip dress combo. Need we say more?
