Sarah Michelle Gellar's throwback 'Buffy' photo will make you weep

Here lies Buffy Summers. She saved the world a lot.

It's been 19 (!!!!) years since we first met Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a superpowered teen on The WB. And though the show was only on for seven seasons and its been off the air for awhile now, we are still obsessed. We will always be obsessed.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, aka Buffy herself, understands this and shared a photo from the show's very first episode Thursday to mark the momentous occasion. And yeah, ok, we're tearing up a little.
