WATCH: Gigi Hadid honors her mom with an emotional speech on 'RHOBH'
Gigi Hadid went from supermodel to speechmaker on Tuesday's episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Before heading to Dubai, some of the Housewives made the trek to the Big Apple to see Yolanda Hadid (formerly Foster) honored at the Global Lyme Alliance inaugural gala in October of last year.
In a preview for the episode, released by Bravo on Monday, Yolanda's eldest daughter took the podium.
"Tonight, we are honoring the person that, more than anyone I know, is hope for Lyme disease awareness, my mom," she said. "For your fight, for your passion, and for making your journey one that will help so many, I'm so proud to honor you with this award," Gigi said as she clasped her chest and was overcome with emotion. Her sister, Bella Hadid, and her mom tearfully looked on in the audience.
In an on-camera interview, Yolanda acknowledged her daughter's "beautiful" words and said that their family's journey has been somewhere in-between heartbreaking and heartwarming.
Yolanda's Lyme disease has been a conflict on the Bravo reality show this season. Lisa Rinna engaged in a conversation with a friend who brought up Munchausen syndrome. In addition, Lisa Vanderpump came under fire after suggesting Mohamed Hadid said his children, Bella and Anwar, did not have Lyme disease. Yolanda said they were diagnosed in 2012.
To stay up-to-date with these women, watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
