It's man-cub against Shere Khan in new 'Jungle Book' clip

The jungle is not a place for the faint of heart.

Mowgli quickly learns that in his first encounter with Shere Khan, played by a gravelly-voiced Idris Elba, in the new clip from Disney's live-action movie The Jungle Book. While Shere Khan monologues on the dangers of man, Mowgli is defended by Akela (Giancarlo Esposito), the leader of the wolf pack who adopted the boy.

So far, in both this clip and the trailer, Mowgli has not said a peep, but we're kind of fine with that as long as we can listen to Elba's dulcet tones for two hours.

The Jungle Book is directed by Jon Favreau and is set to hit theaters April 15.
