Justin Bieber isn’t the only one in his "feels" over Selena Gomez. And Cel Spellman knows it.

"One thing about you, Selena, is — I think it’s safe to say you’re probably one of the most sought-after women in the world," the BBC Radio 1 host told a visibly flattered Gomez during her appearance Thursday. "So, I thought I’d give the Radio 1 listeners a chance to kind of give their best shot at wooing Selena Gomez with all but one line."

OK, we know what you're thinking: Pickup lines? Seriously? Ordinary women already grapple with protecting their spaces from imposing men. And, as an artist in the public eye, Gomez undoubtedly gets that tenfold.

But unlike some men on the street or, worse, the Twitter eggs that usually lurk in women's mentions, Spellman's listeners kept it tasteful — even downright corny. And Gomez couldn't help but smile, especially after the first one, which came from a 12-year-old fan named Max.

"Oh my God. Oh my goodness. Wow. Impressive."

At first, those were the only words Gomez could muster, but she soon collected her thoughts to offer this measured response to her very adorable and very underage admirer.

"That got my attention. The turning-18 part may need to be a crucial part of me pursuing," she joked. "But I am very impressed. Wow, Max. Thank you. (Young ladies), he’s coming for you."
