Michelle Rodriguez says she was 'like an animal' after Paul Walker passed
Losing someone is never easy.
Paul Walker passed unexpectedly as a result of a car accident in 2013. For one of his co-stars, Michelle Rodriguez, it was easier to distract herself from the pain instead of letting herself grieve. In a clip published by TMZ from The Reality of Truth, a documentary that looks at spirituality, religion and psychedelic drugs, Rodriguez opened up about losing her friend.
"I went through about a year of just being like an animal," she said. "Like, what could I do physically to just get my mind off of existentialism? Get my mind off of how transient life is and how we just come here and can disappear at any moment."
The actress said that she spent one summer trying not to deal. "I did everything I could possibly do to hide from myself."
Rodriguez also revealed that a trip on the hallucinogenic ayahuasca, which Chelsea Handler also indulged in for her Netflix series, made the actress almost envious that Walker died before she did.
"It wasn't a sadness that he's gone," she said. "It was more like a jealousy that he's there first."
The film's website says the movie will be available for purchase soon.
