Khloé talks momager Kris, Lamar Odom, Caitlyn's transition on 'Kocktails'
Spillin' the tea is the name of our favorite pastime. It was also the drink of the evening on Kocktails with Khloé.
On Wednesday's show, host Khloé Kardashian really opened up to her guests Ta'Rhonda Jones from Empire, Tisha Campbell-Martin from Dr. Ken, and Jeannie Mai, co-host of The Real.
On her momager, Kris Jenner:
Khloé gave full credit to her mom for her career as well as her siblings'. "My mom kind of turned water into wine," she said. Khloé said there was a time when any agent or manager her family approached for representation would basically say, "What the (bleep) do you guys do?"
Khloé also said she got her work ethic from her mama. In the summer, Jenner wouldn't let her kids sleep in past 7 or 8. Well, except for Rob. "My mom like coddled him," Khloé said. "And, he is the way he is."
On paranormal experiences with her dad, Robert Kardashian:
Was Khloé's father trying to reach her from the afterlife?
Robert Kardashian, who has been on everyone's minds sinceThe People v. O.J. Simpson mini-series premiered, passed in 2003. After his death, Khloé said the Kardashians kept getting weird voicemails of nothing but white noise at their clothing store, Smooch. "They would call my mom's cell phone too," Khloé said. "Just the same white noise." Apparently these calls were made at the same time that her father passed away.
On how Caitlyn Jenner's grandchildren have handled her transition:
Khloé said her nieces, North West, 2, and Penelope Disick, 3, "don't the difference," but Kourtney Kardashian's 6-year-old son, Mason, was more aware of the transition. "When Caitlyn would come around, he was kind of confused," Khloé said. "He was like, 'What are you doing, Grandpa?'"
But Khloé said Jenner dealt with the situation very well. "Caitlyn understood and handled it perfectly."
On Lamar Odom:
Apparently, the unconditional love from the Kardashians was a lot for Lamar Odom to handle. Khloé said after being embraced by her family, Odom told her, "I was self-sabotaging myself because I never felt love that was that pure. I was confused why no one wanted anything else from me but just me."
Khloé said some of Odom's family members had a "take, take, take" mentality, and that she understood why someone with the "weight of the world on his shoulders" and that kind of pressure would break. "I always felt for him," she said. "Even though it didn't happen to me, I was a witness to it."
It was announced Wednesday that Kocktails with Khloé has been cancelled, and that the final episode will air April 20 on FYI. But Khloé took to Twitter to remind her fans that even though her show is over, she'll still be around to give them the 411.
