Ellie Kemper wasn't exactly smooth when it came to hiding her pregnancy

It's a miracle! On The Tonight Show Wednesday, Ellie Kemper, star of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, revealed that she is pregnant.

Show host, Jimmy Fallon adorably got very excited and leaned into Kemper's growing bump to deliver a message to the baby. "I can't wait till you see the show," he said. "Your mommy's really funny. She's very talented."

So sweet. But Fallon had more than kind words; he also had some Ben & Jerry's Tonight Dough ice cream for the mom-to-be. The flavor happens to be the actress' favorite, and she admitted that she's been downing a pint every other night. Which, though science has yet to prove Fallon's theory, he believed was a very good thing.

"Every baby turns out to be a genius, if you eat it while you're pregnant," he said.

In addition to her ice cream confession, Kemper revealed that hiding her pregnancy in the early stages proved to be very tricky. During a table read for her Netflix series, she learned her character was supposed to ride the Rip Ride Rockit rollercoaster. When she informed her boss, Tina Fey, about her baby news, they decided to tell people that she couldn't ride the rollercoaster because of a back injury. Sounds like a plan that would work except for one small thing.

"I could not act like I had a back injury," Kemper said. "I'm a bad liar. I kept forgetting I had one, so I would do things someone with a back injury can't do. They'd yell, 'lunch,' (and) I'd leap up and cartwheel to catering."

Kemper is convinced everyone saw right through her "injury." Especially when she couldn't help but bust a move at the wrap party. Now that her secret is out, we're guessing the biggest challenge is staying away from the Peeno Noir.

Season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt premieres on Netflix on Friday.
