Alexa Chung threw shade at Taylor Swift's Coachella chokers
Looks like someone's not trying to join Taylor Swift's Coachella girl squad.
While Swift was Instagramming her way through her first Coachella last weekend, she posted this black and white glamour shot, declaring, "I feel like maybe chokers are the new flower crowns?"
But don't expect to see model/designer/glamorous famous woman Alexa Chung among the festival-going masses this weekend at Coachella's second weekend, and definitely don't expect to see her in a choker.
Chung threw a "Nochella" party in LA Friday to celebrate the launch of her fashion app, and in a rather-pointed reference to Swift, Fashionista asked Chung if she's subscribing to the new neckwear trend.
"Oh my God, the choker is so dead," she said. "No, thank you. (Laughs) No, it's fine."
She continued, "Look, everyone can do whatever they want, but I do think there is a certain thing with trends when they reach a tipping point and that tipping point to me, with the choker, seems to have happened a few months ago. But they look cool, so, get it!"
If only there was a Taylor Swift lyric about haters we could use here.
Until she responds, we'll just be over here, reveling in the choker shade.
