Miles Teller talks Obama's 2008 win at the WHCD: He represented 'change'

Miles Teller's favorite memory of President Obama comes straight out of a page from the history books.
The Divergent actor — who attended the 2016 White House Correspondents' Dinner with his girlfriend, model Keleigh Sperry, and rubbed elbows with fellow Paste BN guests, John Wall (Washington Wizards), Gabrielle Union (Being Mary Jane), Neve Campbell (House of Cards), Wendi McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs) and Kendall Jenner (Keeping Up with the Kardashians) — told Paste BN that Obama's 2008 presidential victory over Sen. John McCain was an electrifying moment for him.
"I was up in New York," Teller, who was then studying at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, explained. "I remember looking at my buddy. I was like, 'Should we go to a bar right now?' because it felt like somebody had won the Super Bowl and I guess that was just America — you know, first African-American president — I think we were really looking for, you know, change and that’s what Obama represented."
