Johnny Depp has jokes about his awkward apology to Australia

It sounds like Johnny Depp realizes that apology video for Australia was ruff, to say the least.

While promoting Alice Through the Looking Glass, Depp took time to apologize to the good people of England for not bringing his Yorkshire Terriers, Pistol and Boo.

"I'm gonna do this everywhere I go," the actor said. "I would really like to apologize for not smuggling my dogs into England. Because it woulda been a bad thing to do." The crowd had a good laugh at Depp's joke which referenced charges against his wife, Amber Heard, from last year.

Tim Burton, a producer for the film, also joined in on the fun. "I forgot to tell you. They're dead, I just sat on them upstairs by accident," he said.

"I tried to kill them after Australia," Depp quipped.

We only wish that Heard would've also been on-stage. And, that the Mad Hatter would've spilled a little more tea.
