Jon Stewart returns to slam 'man-baby' Donald Trump
(Warning: explicit language)
If there was ever an election season we needed Jon Stewart to guide us through, it's this one.
Unfortunately for his Daily Show fans, Stewart has kept his distance from the 2016 campaign's three-ring circus since handing over the show to Trevor Noah, spending his time out of the spotlight working with animals on his farm in New Jersey.
But the real-talking Stewart that fans know and love returned briefly for an interview with ex-Obama adviser David Axelrod, where he broke his silence on Donald Trump.
"I'm not a Constitutional scholar so I can't necessarily say, but are you eligible to run if you are a man-baby?" he joked about Trump. "He has the physical countenance of a man and a baby's temperament and hands."
Stewart's disdain for Trump goes back to his Daily Show days, where he gave him the unprintable nickname "(expletive) Von Clownstick." (You can click here to watch the NSFW clip.)
We last saw Stewart "bring the Trump" on the Late Show in December, where he crashed buddy Stephen Colbert's monologue to deliver a Donald impression.
Hillary Clinton wasn't spared from Stewart's barbs either, as he criticized Clinton's campaigning skills to Axelrod before reaffirming that he plans to vote for her.
"I imagine her to be a very bright woman without the courage of her convictions — because I'm not even sure what they are," he said. "That's not to say that [Hillary] is not preferable to Donald Trump, because at this point I would vote for Mr. T over Donald Trump."
"I pity the fool, indeed."
Don't get too comfortable watching Stewart talk politics, because he's not planning on returning to television anytime soon. "I feel more engaged now in the real world than I ever did sitting on television interviewing politicians," he said.
