Kaley Cuoco tells Seth Meyers all about fangirling over Jennifer Aniston
If you asked Kaley Cuoco "How you doin'?" after meeting Jennifer Aniston she might've been speechless.
The Big Bang Theory actress appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday and shared a moment that clearly ranks highly in her 30 years of life.
At NBC's televised tribute to director/producer James Burrows, Cuoco was the little engine that YOLOed and worked up the courage to meet one of her favorite Friends.
"I'm kind of like a secret, crazy obsessed Jennifer Aniston fan," Cuoco said. Welcome to the club, girl. "So she was there, and her table was very close to my table. So, my sister and I kept looking at her, and I told my sister, I'm like, 'You know what? This has to be my moment. I have to go introduce myself.'"
Cuoco's sister, Briana Cuoco, suggested that Aniston probably already knew who Cuoco was. "I'm like, 'No, she doesn't, she doesn't, she doesn't, but I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go,'" she said. And with that she hopped in the large line to meet the Mother's Day star.
"So, I'm standing in the line getting more nervous, more nervous, more nervous. And finally I get to the front of the line. And she's facing away from me, and I'm like ready to just die, I don't know what I'm gonna say. I don't know what I'm gonna say to her. I've never felt this way ever. And she turns around, and she literally goes like this (Cuoco demonstrates), 'Kaley.'"
It turns out Aniston did know her eager fan by name, and the moment was just as magical as Cuoco pictured.
"So she says 'Kaley,' and it was like the skies opened up, and she smelled like a garden," she said. "It was everything I dreamed it would be."
After a meet cute like that you can't help but wonder if there was any follow-up. "Are you still friends with Aniston? How's that going?" Meyers asked his guest.
"It took a lot for me to not ask for her phone number," she said. "I wanted to, and so I didn't, but I'm still thinking she's probably looking for mine."
She is, girl. She most definitely is.
