On the first episode of 'Chelsea,' Chris Martin sang like it was the finale

The first episode of Netflix talk show Chelsea started out with... Chris Martin?
Yep.
Before host Chelsea Handler took over, the Coldplay frontman was center stage, at a piano.
"My name is Chris," he said, before addressing Handler. "Chelsea, I just wanna say, you should be proud of what you did here. You gave it your all. If only your all had been good enough." He said, slightly smirking.
"When I heard your Netflix show was ending, I finally understood the 'good' in 'goodbye.' Chelsea, you stream and you dream, and there's never a right time or place to say goodbye... except in this case," he said.
Martin proceeded to perform his emotional ballad Everglow, and we were finally in on the joke. Handler showed up to make sure we understood it.
"It's not the last show. I've never been on this network yet," she said. "This is the first day of the first show. So it's supposed to be like a 'hello' song, not a 'goodbye.'"
Then, Martin exited, which marked what may have been the funniest moment in the premier episode. "Alright, then. See you later," he said, scurrying off.
