Johnny Depp magically pranks Disneyland visitors as the Mad Hatter
Wonderland is a magical place you can't visit (unless you shell out for a movie ticket to the upcoming Alice Through the Looking Glass). But it's nice to know there is a window into that world. Or, a screen and spy camera, anyways.
Disney, known for their ability to create magic-like things, rigged up a fun gimmick at Disneyland in which it Johnny Depp was able to interact with park-goers via a screen that just looked like an advertisement for Alice Through the Looking Glass. Basically, Depp sat, in costume, in a studio and was live-streamed to a screen in the park. A separate camera captured the people who came to look at the screen, and Depp pranked/scared/delighted them by interacting with them, asking their names, and "sneezing" bubbles on them. It's all good, clean, viral marketing fun.
