Laverne Cox showed that black is still the new black at BBMAs

Eclectically-dressed musicians and artists took over the pink carpet at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas Sunday, but the one celeb who rocked the Interwebs the most wasn't a singer -- it was Laverne Cox.

The Orange is the New Black actress showed up at the T-Mobile Arena wearing a Michael Costella plunging neckline mermaid gown and slayed all the Twitter users watching the E! Red Carpet coverage.

Unlike what her show title insists, it looks like black gowns are still the new black.
