Lil Wayne joins Drake for 'Hype' remix

Views may not have lived up to the Hype, but at least those who were underwhelmed by Drake’s fourth official album can take solace in the fact that more bangers are on the way.

But, FIRST, a fresh take on the old.

On Saturday, Drake took to OVO Sound Radio to premiere the remix for Hype, the fifth track from his Views LP. The remix arrives just one week after Drake performed the song on SNL, and features longtime collaborator and Young Money mentor Lil Wayne, who drops an obligatory Prince reference — "I pull up on you in that purple thang, bumping Purple Rain, singing 'Purple rain,' sipping purple rain" — as well as some quintessentially Weezy wordplay — "I call my AK Barney, and I’m gonna let this baby bop."
