Rihanna's new 'Star Trek'-inspired sunglasses are out of this world

Love isn't the only thing on Rihanna’s brain.

From her three-year contract as contributing creative director of Stance socks last year to her Fenty Puma by Rihanna rollout during New York Fashion Week in February, Rihanna has long been working on global fashion domination, but it's her latest collaborative project that's caught our eye.

Per WWD, the ANTI artist has again teamed up with Dior — this time, for a line of futuristic sunglasses inspired by Geordi La Forge of Star Trek. The collection, titled "Rihanna," features one frame and is available in six colors, including blue, green, silver, red and pink. Those styles will go for $840. For all the ballers out there, there’s also a deluxe 24-karat gold-plated version, which will retail for $1,950. The Rihanna collection will be available exclusively in Dior stores in early June.

"I spent a day at Dior with their eyewear design team," Rihanna said of the line, which she recently teased on Instagram. "I started by looking through all the archives to see what they’ve done in the past (and) then got acquainted with all the new materials. I literally sat there and drew and drew until I was happy with the design, and the team illustrated it for me right then and there. We picked materials and colors that same day, and after that it was a matter of weeks before I saw the first prototype."
