Gina Rodriguez lends Golden Globes gown to prom-going teen

Many teens wear gowns from Rent the Runway to their proms. Then there's Jessica Casanova.

The high school student was lent a dress... from actress Gina Rodriguez. It all started when Casanova tweeted at the Jane the Virgin actress at the end of January.

And, SURPRISE, she got a response.

Now, come prom night in May, Casanova wound up wearing the dress the Rodriguez won a Golden Globe in.

Fairy godmother Rodriguez approved.

And Casanova thanked the star with a thoughtful gift.
