Jay Z name-drops Damn Daniel in new song 'Drug Dealers Anonymous'

Damn Jay, back at it again with the questionable cultural references!

After responding to all the Lemonade critics on the All The Way Up remix, Jay Z returned with Drug Dealers Anonymous, a Pusha T collaboration that references Damn Daniel, 2016's favorite shoe-related meme.

“Life made me ambidextrous / Countin’ with my right, whipping white with my left wrist / Damn Daniel / FBI keep bringing them all white vans through," he raps.

The song, which originally premiered on Jay's TIDAL streaming service, also includes a clip of conservative pundit Tomi Lahren, who commented on Jay's storied drug dealing past in a February video criticizing Beyonce's Super Bowl performance. “Your husband was a drug dealer," she says, addressing Beyonce. "For fourteen years, he sold crack cocaine.”

Jay's pointed response: “Fourteen-year drug dealer and still counting / Who deserves the Medal of Freedom? My accountant.”

Unfortunately for Jay, he's not the first rapper to reference Damn Daniel in a verse. According to Genius, Atlanta rapper Jace beat him by a few months on his track Midas — "Damn Daniel, I had zips in that white van / Damn Daniel, back at it again with the white Vans!"
