Game changer Amy Schumer to 'Vogue': 'I am very into making up my own rules'
It girl Amy Schumer has landed the cover of Vogue.
The multi-talented woman who can crack jokes, write screenplays, and act looks at home covering the July issue of the fashion mag in a crimson off the shoulder Dolce & Gabbana dress.
She admitted to being hesitant about appearing in Anna Wintour's publication, but you wouldn't be able to tell that from her old Hollywood spread.
"There’s no moral reasoning,” she said about her disinterest in fashion. “I just have this sense of entitlement that I should be able to feel comfortable at all times, like I could go to bed at any moment in what I’m wearing."
Though it's hard to imagine when the Inside Amy Schumer star actually manages to catch some winks with all that she has her hands in.
"I wouldn’t know what motivates Tina Fey and Julia Louis-Dreyfus,” she said. “This insatiable drive. I have it too. Sometimes I feel like they’re hustling, they want something, and they’re not going to stop until they get it, and they play the game. I am very into making up my own rules. Like, I don’t want to play the game and succeed at it. I want to redefine it."
In addition to her Comedy Central series, and a movie with Goldie Hawn set to be released in 2017, Schumer has also been working on a memoir, The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, which will be released in August. Read a NSFW excerpt of the book here.
Look forward to the same unapologetic honesty Schumer exudes in her series and comedy shows. "I have this innate need to say things that I think are important for people to hear,” she told the magazine. “And I can’t stand injustice, so even if it makes people uncomfortable, I’m not afraid enough of conflict to keep my mouth shut.”
While the comedian admits there are some men who don't subscribe to her "disgusting feminism," her boyfriend Ben Hanisch certainly seems to be a fan.
"We’re in love,” she said. “And we’re still in total honeymoon phase. It’s a real relationship. Who knows what will happen, but we’re real good right now.
