Watch a teaser for Tupac Shakur's biopic 'All Eyez on Me'

On what would have been Tupac Shakur's 45th birthday, a riveting teaser for the legendary rapper's long-awaited biopic was released.

All Eyez on Me stars Demetrius Shipp Jr. as the late rapper, documenting his troubled childhood, his meteoric rise to fame and his sudden death when he was gunned down at the age of 25.

The trailer features snippets from his childhood and performances in front of a chanting crowd and is narrated by his mother (played by Danai Gurira), who advises Shakur, “Son, this ain’t just about you. Like all black men, you have a bullseye on your back,” she warns. The trailer ends with his mother quoting Shakespeare to him, “To thine own self be true.”

Directed by Benny Boom, All Eyez on Me stars Jamal Woolard as Biggie Smalls, Kat Graham as Jada Pinkett, Annie Ilonzeh and Dominic L. Santana. It's set to hit theaters this fall.
