Watch: Keith Urban's sweet 10th anniversary tribute
Keith Urban got downright sentimental Saturday night.
On the 10th anniversary of his wedding to actress and fellow Australian Nicole Kidman, the country music superstar shared some sweet thoughts and memories with fans at his concert outside of Boston. He posted a video that captured the moment on Facebook.
"Tonight is my wife's and I 10-year anniversary," Urban announced to cheering fans.
He proceeded to talk about how the couple discussed earlier this year what they would be doing for their milestone anniversary. He saw that he had a Boston show set for the date and said that maybe he should not work and she replied, "Why don't I come up to Boston instead (of him cancelling)?" They agreed that sounded like a good plan for her to join him for an anniversary weekend. However, a movie shoot that had originally been scheduled for May was delayed until June in Australia. It messed up their plans, Urban said, but he quickly added: "So, after the gig tonight, I'm flying to Australia to celebrate our anniversary."
And then, Urban did a little show-and-tell presentation, saying that he wanted to take some time to "hit you guys with a little bit of the journey in these last 10 years."
Behind him on the projection screen, the first photo taken of the couple almost immediately after they met is displayed. "We just met a few minutes before this photo happened," he said.
He went on to share pictures of people with them during that first meeting at an event in Los Angeles. (Olivia Newton-John was there.)
"Nic and I got along really well." Of course.
And then, he shared a photo of the couple's daughters: Sunday Rose, 7, and Faith Margaret, 5.
What else did he have to say? Watch.
