New 'Fantastic Beasts' featurette is all about Newt Scamander

The hero of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has been a bit of a mystery in the past few trailers that have been released. He's barely spoken more than a few sentences, and little more is known about him other than the fact that he is a "magizoologist." But that changes with the new featurette for the Harry Potter spin-off film, in which Newt finally gets the spotlight.

J.K. Rowling affectionately introduces her newest hero, and Newt actor Eddie Redmayne describes the timid wizard as a person who gets along better with magical creatures than with people.

It's a classic fish-out-of-water story, in which Newt finds himself in the strange lands of America, where he chides a fellow witch for the country's "backwards views" on non-magical people, or no-maj's as they call them in America. But he ends up having to scramble to make up for his own mistakes, when his case full of magical creatures is accidentally unleashed.
