Anna Kendrick wants to play THIS female superhero in a movie
Listen up, Marvel: Anna Kendrick wants to be your next superhero.
Talking to Net-a-Porter, the Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates star said she'd be up to don Squirrel Girl's fuzzy vest and tail if she ever got her own movie:
"My brother sent me a Squirrel Girl comic because he thinks I should (play her)," Kendrick told the magazine. "I don't know what Squirrel Girl does other than be half squirrel, but I could be half squirrel!"
Many on Twitter immediately approved of Kendrick's affinity for the comic-book character (aka Doreen Green), a college freshman-turned vigilante whose tagline is to "kick butts and eat nuts." Created in 1992, she has appeared in her own Unbeatable Squirrel Girl series, as well as a handful of Avengers and Marvel Super-Heroes comics, defeating villains such as Dr. Doom and Thanos.
Meanwhile, one Twitter user had another, equally great suggestion: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's Rachel Bloom.
Regardless of who plays her, we're ready for another female superhero to join Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel on the big screen.
