A 'Daily Show' fan stumbles on Trevor Noah playing Pokemon Go
She was looking for a Pidgey, and she found Trevor Noah instead.
A New Yorker posted on Reddit Monday that while on a run down Riverside Park along the Hudson River, which doubled as an excuse to hunt for water type Pokemon, she spotted some nearby lures -- a tool that helps users draw in Pokemon. A stray Pidgey had been attracted to these lures, and the Redditor was on the hunt for it -- and in the process, stumbled onto Daily Show host Trevor Noah playing Pokemon Go on a random park bench.
"He looks at me, looks at my phone, and goes, 'you know there's a Scyther right over there,'" the woman wrote in her Reddit post.
Turns out it was Noah who set up the two lures "so he could catch 'em all on his break." Noah had even tweeted about playing Pokemon Go at that park bench Sunday.
The woman, who was a Daily Show fan, was understandably excited -- even more so to learn that Noah was probably above level 17 on the mobile app game (which takes more than a little work).
While that's the first celeb sighting that Pokemon Go has gifted us with so far, he's not the first celebrity to find himself addicted to the game.
