Meryl Streep hits fashion high note at 'Florence Foster Jenkins' premiere
Valentin-ohhh!
Meryl Streep walked the red carpet at the New York City premiere of Florence Foster Jenkins, and we doubt any other attendees reviewed their ensembles in the mirror and thought, "I beat Meryl."
Wearing Valentino Pre-Fall 2016, the actress looked stunning in a blue and white, long sleeve tea-length gown.
Streep paired her dress with silver pumps, a small clutch, and dainty jewelry. She also kept her makeup simple, in line with the minimal makeup trend.
The Suffragette star has had many Valentino moments that have caused us to stop and take notice, including this black and white number she donned last year.
Streep has been a long-time fan of the fashion house and its founder, Valentino Garavani. During a TV special in 2009, she praised the designer for his ability to make a woman feel gorgeous.
"There are lots of trends that come and go in fashion," Streep began. "Trends that emphasize, that become performance art, or become about other things other than dressing a woman. And, Valentino has devoted himself to that simple, difficult, gratifying task all of his life. He has made women more beautiful and feel more beautiful."
Valentino also had a cameo in Streep's 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada.
