'Bachelor in Paradise's' Josh Murray, Amanda Stanton address their haters

Don't believe everything you see — that has been masterfully edited for television.

Fans thought Amanda Stanton took a misstep this week on Bachelor in Paradise when she seemed to quickly drop Nick Viall for Josh Murray sans explanation. After all, it seemed Nick and Amanda had a nice time when they went on their date, and he gave her his rose, but all that seemed forgotten when Andi Dorfman's former fiancé washed ashore.

On Amanda's site, where the Paradise star posts about fashion, beauty, and interior design, she addressed the negative feedback she's received since her first date with Josh aired on this season of The Bachelor spinoff.

"I have been completely overwhelmed with the amount of hate I have received since Monday night," she writes. "I am not going to blame the 'edit' but I will say there are a few important details that were missing that might explain my actions."

Amanda explains that she met Nick "a few times" and had a "big BIG crush" on him. However, she was discouraged because Nick told her, as well as twins Emily and Haley Ferguson, and audience fave Jubilee Sharpe, that he was interested in Jen Saviano, also from Ben Higgins' season of The Bachelor.

"I was pretty shocked when he asked me on a date," Amanda reveals

"Mine (and) Nick’s date didn’t go as well as it was portrayed on the show," she pens. "It was a fine first date. We had good conversation. We kissed. But there weren’t those 'sparks' like I was hoping for."

"I almost felt like he was holding back because he knew he was waiting for Jen to arrive and didn’t want to lead me on," Amanda shares. "One thing that stood out to me was that he would hold my hand or kiss me…but as soon as the cameras were off he would stop or let go of my hand... I TRULY felt like he wasn’t that into me."

Earlier in the week Amanda took to Twitter, to hint that we might not have gotten the full story at the rose ceremony.

In her blog post she shares that they had a whole conversation where Nick said he wanted to get to know Amanda and Leah Block (whom he also went on a date with) better. Amanda also says that Nick reiterated "once again that he was also 'very excited for Jen to arrive.'"

"He told me he wanted to be on the same page as far as dating other people and made it clear as day that we were going to both explore our options... (Which) is why when Josh arrived the next morning, I didn’t hesitate to say yes to the date," Amanda exclaims. "I would never intentionally hurt (Nick) or go on a date without talking to him first if we hadn’t had that talk the night before!"

Josh's choice of weapon to silence the haters was social media. He shared this pic (with a NSFW caption) of the two kissing. "It's okay if the rest of the world thinks I'm a (expletive), as long as she likes me 😍#SorryShesSoCuteIJustWannaEatHerFace," Josh writes.

He also called his first date with Amanda "the best" of his life.

From Nick's tweet, it appears even he is over their seemingly producer-manufactured love triangle.

Now, if only we can get Evan Bass on Team Amanda and Josh.
