Beyoncé remembers Aaliyah with throwback MTV clip

Before she was Queen Bey, Beyoncé was just like us — basking in the glory of the princess of R&B, Baby Girl, better known as Aaliyah.

In observance of the 15th anniversary of the One in a Million artist's death, Beyoncé shared a throwback clip of the two on the 2000 MTV Movie Awards red carpet. Beyoncé was co-hosting the pre-show along with Sisqó when, in a moment of utter #BlackGirlMagic, she stopped to gush over the beloved singer and ask which part of the program she was most excited to see.

"I wanna see D'Angelo perform," Aaliyah said, causing Beyoncé to again channel all of us. "Girl, I'm with ya," she replied, "'Cause you know he fine!"
