Ariana Grande got asked not to lick any donuts at the VMAs

Asking radio host and notorious troll Charlamagne Tha God to host the Video Music Awards' pre-show was a stroke of genius.

Mostly for moments like this one, when he snagged Ariana Grande for a quick interview, and immediately brought up her most notorious incident.

"No pastry licking," the host joked to Grande about the night's festivities, referencing her donut-licking drama.

“I’ll keep it in mind,” she laughed.

Things just got more awkward from there, as Charlamagne brought up a "boo" that Grande clearly wasn't thrilled to be talking about — who may or may not be rapper Mac Miller, who Grande has been linked to recently.

"And you’re alone right? Where the boo at?" he said.

“Being supportive," she responded. “It’s okay to be alone even when you have a boo."
