The Black Eyed Peas bring back 'Where Is the Love?' after 2016's tragedies
The Black Eyed Peas first gave the world the song Where Is the Love during a difficult year. And in yet another hard year, they're giving it to us again. The band has updated their hit song, which originally debuted as a response to 9/11, explaining that in 2016, we need the love again.
'"I remember when the attack in Paris happened, people would say, 'We need Where Is the Love? again.' And then Belgium happened, and then Turkey, and then Orlando, and then Philando (Castile), and then Alton (Sterling) before him, and then Dallas. Everyone was calling on us like, 'We need that song again'," will.i.am said in a video explaining the new version of the song, the proceeds of which will benefit the will.i.am's i.am.angel foundation.
The updated song also brings a host of new celebrities to the track, including Justin Timberlake, who was on the original, as well as Kendall Jenner, Mary J. Blige, Diddy, DJ Khaled, Quincy Jones, Snoop Dogg, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Randy Jackson, Wilmer Valderrama, A$AP Rocky, Tori Kelly, Nicole Scherzinger, Jamie Foxx, Jessie J, Usher, Jaden Smith, Shailene Woodley, Vanessa Hudgens, Lance Bass, Connie Britton, Omarion, French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, LL Cool J and more.
