Rihanna tells Drake 'I love you' on Instagram — and with a new tattoo?

Started from the bottom, now we're visiting the online gift shop of a Canadian aquarium.

This week's Rihanna/Drake saga took its strangest turn yet, thanks to a pair of Instagram posts and a suspicious kids-toy souvenir.

Fans have been on full AubRih relationship watch after Drizzy's lovelorn speech (and dodged kiss) at the VMAs, which the pair followed with days of sneaky dates and onstage PDA

But don't expect Rihanna — who, let's remember, responded to Drake's onstage admission of love with "You're short" — to betray too much emotion. In an Instagram post commemorating her Video Vanguard win at the VMAs, her thank-you to Drake is characteristically shady.

"@champagnepapi your speech was so touching and I love you for that!" she writes, in the most brutal use of "for that" we've ever seen.

But even though Rihanna isn't professing her adoration for Drake like he did for her at the VMAs, her new tattoo may speak for itself. On Thursday, tattoo artist Bang Bang shared a snap of Rih's latest ink, a tiny camouflage shark on her ankle.

Look familiar? Compare it to the plush toy in the corner of the lovey-dovey Instagram Drake posted after the awards Sunday night.

According to a favorite Internet theory, backed by thirsty Rihanna fan accounts, Drake gave her the stuffed animal when they visited Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto, where they dined at midnight among the fish tanks.

Late-night rendezvous with the fishes aside, Internet sleuths have confirmed that yes, the Ripley's Aquarium gift shop does sell camo sharks. (Which you can own, for the low price of $14.99.)
