8 thoughts Beyoncé and Jay Z probably had cheering on Serena Williams
The friendship between Beyoncé and Serena Williams is so hard to live up to. We mean, how is it possible that anyone could outshine the light from these two superstars, especially when they're shining together, supporting each other at huge professional moments?
You see, not only did Serena make a starring appearance in Bey's visual album Lemonade (think about the fact that she got to hear Sorry a long time before you did and be even more jealous of the world-class athlete), she also introduced Bey's blockbuster performance at the VMAs on Sunday, with class, love and a killer outfit. And now Beyoncé is returning the favor.
Beyoncé (oh and Jay Z) turned out to support Serena at the U.S. Open as she destroyed the competition in the second round. And the many, many photos of the couple in the stands had us wondering, what were Bey and Jay thinking? Here are our (very unlikely) guesses.
"Why are you all looking at me finding my seat, Serena will be on the court ANY SECOND!"
"So, how does tennis work again? Why are they saying 'love-love'?" "Because we love Serena so much, Jay." "Wait I know you just made that up."
"OK I figured it out." "Good job, Jay."
"No, wait, where's the ball?" "It's over here, Jay."
"Tennis is so much fun."
"I'm going to look just a little happily surprised that Serena is winning even though I had no doubts."
"Wait is my hair flawless? Of course it is. Why did I even check?"
"Have I flashed the world's most winning smile yet? No? OK here's one for the cameras. And for the world in general."
Here's to many more sporting events with Bey in the stands.
