Is Lil Wayne retiring or just in need of a break?
Well, this announcement from Lil Wayne is about as clear as, well, Lil Wayne's voice.
Early Saturday morning, the Lousiana-born rapper tweeted, saying he felt "defenseless and mentally defeated" and while he loves his fans, he's "dun."
The rest of the world panicked, taking it for a retirement announcement.
A few hours later, he was back to set the matter straight — sort of.
If we had to guess, it just sounds like less like a retirement announcement and more like the guy is emotionally spent and could use some time away. After all, he suffered a pair of seizures during air travel earlier this summer, on top of a prolonged fight with his record label over the last record on his contract. And on Friday, the Miami police were called to his home to deal with a 911 call that turned out to be a hoax. (Stress is known to cause sleep problems, which, in turn, trigger seizures in people with epilepsy.)
But even if it is a retirement, that doesn't mean it's forever. Just ask Jay Z.
