Celebrities check in at Burning Man
While many music stars gathered at the Made In America festival in Philadelphia and movie stars walked the red carpet at the Venice International Film Festival in Italy over the weekend, other stars walked through the desert.
That's right. Celebrities opted to check out Burning Man 2016 in Black Rock City, Nev.
Katy Perry, Diplo, Karlie Kloss and Scott Eastwood were among the 70,000 who attended the weeklong event in the remote Nevada desert.
Perry was her usual colorful self at the festivities.
Diplo found a giant tribute to Harambe, the gorilla that was killed in the spring at the Cincinnati Zoo after a child got into its enclosure.
Kloss saw the desert cleaning up.
Heidi Klum marveled at a wondrous scene.
Model Nina Agdal stood before the Temple at Burning Man.
Eastwood hung out with Cara Delevingne.
And Delevingne posed with Paris Hilton.
Burning Man lures yearly attendees who build elaborate camps, an airport, a medical center, dance stages and massive sculptures. The celebration culminates in the closing ceremony which involves the actual, well, burning of a giant temple.
The burning took place Sunday and the festival officially ends Monday.
