7 crazy moments from Alexander Wang's over-the-top NYFW show and afterparty

Alexander Wang is one of the most anticipated shows at New York Fashion Week. He manages to work his love of street culture into high-end pieces, his front row is always packed and the show never ends without a twist. The type of big surprises that can sometimes cause meltdowns -- like the time he held his runway show at Brooklyn Navy Yard and caused traffic jams that lasted for hours in 2014 -- but always deliver something to talk about.

Saturday night's show and afterparty were no exception. Wang held his runway show at Pier 94 on the side of Hell's Kitchen, and the madness was almost too much, but then he delivered some lust-worthy clothes and an exciting Adidas partnership, and McDonald's, and we were reminded that all the fuss is worth it for Wang.

Here are some of the highlights.

Party crashing Alexander Wang is the new version of sneaking into Le Bain

Once upon a time the elevator to the top of the Standard hotel, also known as the boom boom room, was the place for fashion crashers. Remember that little elevator fight after the Met Ball in 2014?

While we're sure that still happens, ambitious crashes have now made their way to Wang. The check in line ahead of the show was so long, guests backed up for a good 30 minutes after the show was set to begin. The problem? Everyone says they're on the list, and as one very unamused security guard found out, few actually are.

The Adidas trefoil logo got a new look

Wang confirmed the rumors about an Adidas collaboration with a campaign video and hoards of models who practically ran down the runway in their Adidas unisex, black activewear. The biggest update? Wang flipped the classic logo upside down. The 84-piece collection will hit stores this spring. Read more about it here.

Madonna and Kylie Jenner were front row to cheer on their model family members

Madonna and her daughter Lourdes Leon were on hand to watch Rocco Ritchie debut as the face of the Adidas collaboration. Kylie and Tyga watched Kendall walk in the show, then hit the after party. Nicki Minaj, Pamela Anderson and son Dylan Jagger Lee were also on hand.

Yeezy isn't the only one with Adidas pop-ups

Make room Ye, for a new member of the Adidas family who wasted no time slinging merch. The after party included a truck turned merchandise booth for guests to purchase pieces of the collection. The truck mimicked imagery from the campaign video and lookbook, which plays on reseller culture and the underground market for expensive sneakers.

The afterparty was catered by 7-Eleven and McDonald's

Wang is a master of turning the mundane and what some would consider trashy into high art. So it wasn't surprising to find a full 7-Eleven truck and Slurpees on site. McDonald's was also there, and had everyone giddy, including famous Vogue fashion editors, who were happy to scarf down french fries after living in the food desert that is fashion week.

Party games included spray painting abandoned cars

Because why not? Also on site: an arcade-style claw game, filled with Nars products.

Travis Scott, Desiigner and CL took the stage

After a lengthy DJ set by Jesse Marco, Wang finally introduced a few more surprises. And the crowd of models, celebs, random fashion people and party crashers danced into the night.
