Julia Louis-Dreyfus' emotional Emmys acceptance speech brings us to tears
Julia Louis-Dreyfus' acceptance speech for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series was full of emotion Sunday night.
Among her apologies — to the Veep crew for the "unforgivable" amount of hours they work and to us for "the current political climate" — the actress issued a heavy-hearted shout-out to her late father.
"Lastly, I'd like to dedicate this to my father, William Louis-Dreyfus," she said while shaking, "who passed away on Friday. And, I'm so glad that he liked Veep because his opinion was the one that really mattered."
