'The Voice': Ex-NBA star Derek Harper will cheer for daughter on Team Blake

Dana Harper showed judges on The Voice premiere that she could be a winner.

For her blind audition which aired Monday night, the Dallas resident and daughter of retired NBA player Derek Harper sang Nick Jonas' song Jealous, and the performance was good enough to win her a spot on Season 11 of NBC's singing competition show.

Dana earned a three-chair turn. The only judge who didn't hit the red button to vie to be her coach was Miley Cyrus, who said, "You sounded so great that I don't know how I could've helped. And I think the most important part of this show is finding somebody that you're gonna learn enough."

And so, which coach — Adam Levine, Alicia Keys or Blake Shelton — won over the contestant? Wait for it ... Blake Shelton!

By the way, Dad was there. Although he tweeted before the episode aired and couldn't share results, the tone of his message did reveal a touch of parental pride.
