‘Dancing with the Stars’: Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, Vanilla Ice are out

After serving up some seriously amazing Cirque du Soleil performances – like Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy’s perfect jazz number – we had to brace ourselves to say goodbye to not just one, but to two couples. Oh, the Zumanity.

At least we got to witness pro dancers Sasha Farber and Emma Slater get engaged live on-air.

We saw another sweet moment when Julianne Hough and Amber Rose hugged after Monday’s televised conversation about that body shaming misunderstanding. Last week, Amber said she believed Julianne's comment about being uncomfortable during her salsa was directed at her curves, which Julianne insisted was not the case. The judge told Amber she appreciated her apology and offered one of her own. “I’m sorry if that made you feel that way,” Julianne said. “That’s not who I am.”

As for the painful part of the evening, the double-elimination, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Allison Holker were the first couple given the heave-ho, and Vanilla Ice and Witney Carson followed were next.

Before making their exits, both men shared a few words about their time on the show.

“I got a chance to come out and dance for my mom,” “Babyface” said. “And my mom is proud today that I even came here… Allison has been amazing. She’s taught me so many things, and I want to say that this experience it’s an amazing experience, learning to dance with everyone. The family here is amazing.”

Ice also enjoyed being a part of the dance competition. “Dancing makes you happy, and this is just a happy experience,” the rapper said. “I’m honored to be here, and I appreciate all the fans and the people. It’s magical, but I appreciate (Witney) more than anything.”

We’re so sorry to see them go.

DWTS returns Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, and the celebs will be performing routines inspired by their most memorable years.
