Joe Jonas just had the most honest Reddit AMA
When some celebrities say "Ask Me Anything," they mean it.
That was indeed the case for DNCE singer and former Jonas Brothers band member Joe Jonas, who participated in a Reddit AMA today.
To help promote his new music video Body Moves, he honestly answered a wide range of questions about his virginity, being parodied on TV, life with his brothers and his Disney days. Here are some of his major reveals (with his original few typos from the AMA intact):
He is totally embarrassed by his Disney Channel movie Camp Rock.
"Oh my god. My dance moves in Camp Rock were so terrible," he writes. "I think my flat iron hair and my squeaky voice are a little embarrassing. Also, I watch it now and realize it was so many years ago, it is really bad quality. It just reminds me of how much older I am now." From 1-10 on a scale of how embarrassed he is about the movie, "I'm going to give it a solid 8."
He told the story of losing his virginity.
"I dated a girl named Ashley, so just Google it to figure out which Ashley that is," he writes. We're guessing he means actress Ashley Greene. And he even shares that he used a condom, which he stole from his drummer.
He thinks the South Park parody of Disney is so funny.
You know that NSFW South Park episode that has the Jonas Brothers facing off with a killer Mickey Mouse? "I loved it," Jonas, a South Park fan, says. In the episode, Mickey Mouse beats up the Jonas Brothers, and in real life, "I once got in trouble at Disney World cause I took a picture of Mickey Mouse sitting down, and I had flashes like my life was gonna end (just like the South Park parody)."
The Jonas Brothers breakup was really difficult.
Jonas said that his brother, Nick, brought up the idea of going solo in music and acting, and it was initially shocking. "I was seeing a therapist and I wasn't on speaking terms with my brothers," he said. "And maybe I was a little envious of Nick because I knew that he already had kind of a leg up and had plans to work on music already and he was creating and producing... I closed myself off and we cancelled the tour and didn't really know what was going on." And no, Jonas said drug addiction wasn't a part of the split.
Daniel Craig is his man crush.
"I have had multiple Daniel Craig birthday cakes in my life," he writes. Another guy he loves? Matthew McConaughey. And Ken Bone.
