Wentworth Miller sends uplifting message to LGBT fans: 'You’ll find your tribe'

His candid account of his struggle with depression made him Attitude magazine's Man of the Year.

And now, as part of the magazine's awards issue, Wentworth Miller has issued an encouraging message for anyone struggling to navigate their sexuality and grappling with depression as a result.

"It gets better one day," says the Prison Break star, who publicly came out in an open letter in August 2013 to protest discriminatory policies in Russia. "You’ll find your tribe. You just have to trust that people are out there waiting to love you and celebrate you for who you are. In the meantime, the reality is you might have to be your own tribe. You might have to be your own best friend. That’s not something they’re going to teach you in school. So start the work of loving yourself."
