‘The Voice’: Blake Shelton uses his last steal on Bindi Liebowitz
Team Adam did battle Tuesday night on The Voice.
Levine’s artists, Bindi Liebowitz and Brendan Fletcher went head-to-head singing Home by Marc Broussard.
Fletcher’s gravelly voice impressed judges Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton and his coach.
“Brendan, there are moments,” Levine began, “where I thought that the building was going to come unhinged and fall down. There’s something that is otherworldly about what you do. It’s unbelievable. It’s thunderous.”
Some of the coaches wished Liebowitz would’ve pushed her voice to shine more in the performance.
Ultimately, the Maroon 5 frontman picked Fletcher as the winner of the Battle, and Liebowitz, who Levine said reminded him of Rihanna, the Good Girl Gone Bad, was stolen by Shelton.
The Battle between Gabriel Violett and duo Whitney and Shannon was also filled with presence. The members of Team Alicia sang a version of Extreme’s More Than Wordsthat left Cyrus speechless.
Cyrus and Levine cast their vote for Whitney and Shannon, while Violett impressed Shelton. While Keys acknowledged that Violett had come into his own, she crowned Whitney and Shannon the winners of the Battle.
“To the beauties over here,” Keys said during critiques, “it’s such a love that emanates from the two of you, and I really appreciate the way that you’re able to show the world what music can look like and sound like and be like, and there’s no definition to it.”
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
